Deploying GPU Power Capping on Perlmutter
NERSC is hosting a virtual training seminar on Friday, May 23, 2025, from 10:00–11:30 AM (Pacific Daylight Time) to help users understand and apply GPU power capping on Perlmutter. This training aims to encourage users to experiment with power capping in their workloads as a step toward improving energy efficiency and preparing for a more power-constrained future.
The session will include:
-
A 60-minute presentation on GPU power capping concepts and use cases
-
A 15-minute demo of a tool that visualizes power consumption during job runs
-
A 15-minute Q&A session
