Dask Training
NERSC has contracted with OpenTeams to hold a training event Thursday, March 28 and Friday, March 29 on Dask, a Python library for parallel and distributed computing.
Dask can be used to scale Python libraries like NumPy, pandas, and scikit-learn and is included in projects such as Xarray, Prefect, RAPIDS, and XGBoost. Participants will be guided through hands-on exercises using Dask and Jupyter on Perlmutter. The event will teach users the basics of Dask’s architecture, how to manage a Dask cluster, and run data analytics workflows interactively. If you are interested, please fill out this Google form.
Please note, space is limited: Filling out the form does not guarantee that you will be able to attend the event. About a week before the event we will contact you to let you know your participation status.
Only NERSC users are eligible to participate. This is a remote-only training event. Participants should expect to attend both days, in the morning (Pacific time zone).
A more detailed agenda will be posted closer to the training event.
