E-mail Communications
Email is the primary way that NERSC communicates essential information to its users. This is why NERSC requires users to keep an up-to-date email address on file that matches their institution. Adding an alternative email address to your account is also possible.
Your email address can be updated in the Iris accounting interface under the “Details” tab.
NERSC reserves the right to disable accounts with invalid email addresses.
How we use your email
Announcements of interest to the NERSC user community are sent via email and saved in email archives.
Every user with an active NERSC account is automatically subscribed to the NERSC users’ email list.
Users cannot unsubscribe from this list because it is our primary channel for communicating essential and timely information to our users.
If you are a principal investigator or account manager, you will also receive emails specifically related to your role.
