Software Carpentry Bootcamp

Overview

Do you spend too much time wrestling with computers and not enough doing research? If so, NERSC will be hosting a free two-day Software Carpentry Boot Camp on March 28-29 to introduce scientists to skills and tools that will allow them to use computing more efficiently. The workshop will cover the core skills a researcher needs to know in order to be productive in a small team, and will be followed by four to eight weeks of self-spaced online learning. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. This workshop is possible with a grant from the Sloan Foundation.
