Final Report

Large Scale Production Computing and Storage Requirements for Biological and Environmental Research: Target 2017 [pdf]

Goal

The goal of this meeting is to elucidate computing, storage, and service requirements for research sponsored by DOE's Office of Science, Office of Biological and Environmental Research (BER), at NERSC. These requirements will serve as input to NERSC and ASCR planning processes for systems and support, and will help ensure that NERSC continues to provide world-class support for scientific discovery to DOE scientists and their collaborators.

The tangible outcome of the review will be a report that includes BER computing, storage, data, analysis, and support requirements along with a supporting, science-based narrative.  An official invitation from DOE Office of Science associate directors is available

Registration

The review is by invitation only. There is no registration fee; however, attendees must respond to their e-mail invitation. The Group Registration Deadline for the hotel is August 19.
