DESCRIPTION:<p>Hosted by Computing Sciences at Berkeley Lab\, the <a title=
 \"Visit the DL4SCI 2026 Summer School website for more information.\" rel=
 \"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https://dl4sci-school.lbl.gov/home\" target
 =\"_blank\">2026 Deep Learning for Science (DL4SCI) Summer School</a> is a
  five-day intensive program bringing together researchers and engineers to
  explore the latest advances in deep learning and generative AI (GenAI)\, 
 with a special emphasis this year on foundation models\, reasoning\, and a
 gentic AI for scientific discovery.</p>\n<h2>Who should apply?</h2>\n<p>Th
 e school is designed for advanced graduate students\, postdoctoral researc
 hers\, academics\, domain scientists\, and engineers. Ideal participants w
 ill have a strong interest in applying deep learning to scientific problem
 s on high performance computing (HPC) systems. A technical background with
  prior knowledge of machine learning\, especially deep learning\, programm
 ing skills in Python\, and experience with deep learning software such as 
 PyTorch are strongly recommended. &nbsp\;</p>\n<h2>Deadlines\, fees\, and 
 financial support</h2>\n<p>The deadline to apply is April 10\, 2026. Accep
 tance decisions will go out on April 20\, 2026\, with waitlisted participa
 nts receiving final decisions by May 20\, 2026.</p>\n<p>Registration fees 
 will not exceed $250 and will be waived for selected applicants currently 
 enrolled in undergraduate\, graduate\, or PhD programs.</p>
