SUMMARY:NERSC Agentic AI Bootcamp\, April 2026
DESCRIPTION:<p>NERSC\, in collaboration with <a title=\"web link to Nvidia
 company main page\" href=\"https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/\">NVIDIA</a> and
 the <a title=\"link to the OpenACC web page\" href=\"https://www.openacc.o
rg/\">OpenACC organization</a>\, will host an <a title=\"web link to NERSC
  Agentic AI Bootcamp landing page\, Apr 2026 \" href=\"https://www.openhac
 kathons.org/s/siteevent/a0CUP000041fFFJ2A2/se000476\">End-to-End AI for Sc
 ience bootcamp</a> on April 23 - 24\, 2026.</p>\n<p>Agentic AI employs sop
histicated reasoning to solve complex problems\, utilizing data from multi
ple sources to analyze\, strategize\, and complete tasks independently. Th
ere are many powerful building blocks that developers and researchers can
use to enable and accelerate the development and deployment of their agent
ic AI workflows.</p>\n<p>The Agentic AI Bootcamp covers some of these powe
rful tools\, including Model Context Protocol (MCP)\, an open protocol pro
viding a standardized method for connecting AI models to various data sour
ces and tools\; NVIDIA NIM\, a set of easy-to-use microservices that provi
des pre-optimized models and industry-standard APIs for building powerful
 AI agents\, co-pilots\, chatbots\, and assistants\; and LangGraph\, an ope
n-source library for complex and stateful workflows for AI agents.</p>\n<p
 >Attendees are guided through the creation of MCP servers based on Stdio/H
TTP using the high/low level MCP SDKs\, building MCP clients to interact w
ith MCP Servers\, and using MCP Clients/Servers with NVIDIA NIM in LLM/Age
ntic workflows. Attendees will then apply these learned skills in a hands-
on challenge to replace parts of an existing workflow with MCP.</p>\n<p>Th
is virtual bootcamp is a hands-on learning experience where you will be gu
ided through step-by-step instructions with teaching assistants on hand to
help throughout.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>We will be using Perlmutter GPUs for the
Bootcamp. This event has limited capacity\, so we recommend applying early
. Training accounts for Perlmutter will be provided for non-NERSC users.&n
bsp\;</p>\n<h3>Prerequisites</h3>\n<p>Basics of Python and Python package
 manager (such as pip\, conda\, or uv)</p>
