Hai Ah Nam

Biographical Sketch
Hai Ah is a staff member of the Advanced Technologies Group (ATG) and specializes in high-performance computing, benchmarking and performance analysis. Prior to joining Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, her scientific career spanned three DOE national laboratories (LLNL, ORNL, LANL), where she contributed to work in low-energy nuclear physics, computational physics, high performance computing, and research scientific software to impact NNSA mission-focused Advanced Simulation and Computing (ASC) projects and scientific discovery-focused Office of Science projects. While at LANL, Hai Ah led the Advanced Technology Systems Center of Excellence efforts and supported multi-physics codes to run efficiently on these systems. She earned a Ph.D. in Computational Science from Claremont Graduate University and San Diego State University, an M.S. in Physics from Carnegie Mellon University, and a B.A. in Physics from Scripps College.
Hai Ah's research interests include emerging technologies for the high performance computing ecosystem, the science needs driving requirements, and the substantial interdisciplinary effort to bring technologies from design to production readiness.
