Parallel Tracing Removed

Parallel tracing function from previous releases of PE has been completely removed in PE 3.2. The tracing functions and symbols are no longer supported and should not be used. PE 3.2 provides dummy functions and header files to maintain binary compatibility. IBM, however, suggests that you rewrite and recompile these applications without these functions.

As a result of the Visualization Tool parallel trace facility removal, the following POE environment variables and their associated command-line flags are no longer supported:

• MP_SAMPLEFREQ environment variable (-samplefreq and -sfreq flags)
• MP_TBUFFSIZE environment variable (-tbuffsize and -tbsize flags)
• MP_TBUFFWRAP environment variable (-tbuffwrap and -tbwrap flags)
• MP_TMPDIR environment variable (-tmpdir flag)
• MP_TRACE_DIR environment variable (-tracedir and -tdir flags)
• MP_TRACEFILE environment variable (-tracefile and -tfile flags)
• MP_TRACELEVEL environment variable (-tracelevel and -tlevel flags)
• MP_TTEMPSIZE environment variable (-ttempsize and -ttsize flags)
