Disk Quota Increase Request Form

NERSC will consider reasonable requests for changes in disk space and inode limits. Please use this form to submit such a request.

There are two types of file systems that have user quotas: local (unique to a particular computational system), and global (shared between computational systems). Local file systems are "scratch" on Hopper. Global file systems include "project" and "home" on all systems, and "global scratch" on Carver, Euclid, Dirac as well as Hopper. Please note that if you select "Hopper scratch directory" from the "File System:" menu below, the quota value requested applies to the combined contents of $SCRATCH and $SCRATCH2.

Please ask for the least amount of resources you need, since the sum of disk space and inodes allocated to users already exceeds system capacity. In other words, system resources would be exhausted before all users could use their existing quotas.

Please do not request a quota increase for Global Home.  Use one of the scratch spaces, instead.  For questions, contact consult@nersc.gov.
