Using IDL

First load the idl module:

module load idl

Then start IDL by running:

idl

IDL has a rich set of demos. To view them, in the IDL command line, type:

IDL> demo

The IDL supplied source for the library procedures and examples are in: $IDL_DIR/lib and $IDL_DIR/examples.
