PDSF Selected Announcements

Scientific Linux 3.0.2 is no long supported so we are going to retire it as one of our chos operating systems at PDSF. This requires a reboot of the interactive nodes and will be done as follows:
The PDSF interactive nodes will be rebooted on Thursday Feb 3rd, 2011 between 12:00 Noon and 2:00 PM. This will be done in a staggered fashion with a 10 minute warning between each reboot. After this reboot, the SL-3.0.2 CHOS environment will no longer be available.
If you have "sl302" in your .chos file you need to change it to sl44, 32sl44 or sl53. Please see the chos instructions page:
Note that if you don't change it by February 3rd your logins will fail once sl302 is gone.
Thanks for your attention,

This won't affect running or pending jobs but you might notice unresponsiveness for a few minutes.

We plan to do some work on the PDSF NX services tomorrow from 1pm-2pm local time unless people object. This means the PDSF NX services will be unavailable. If this is inconvenient for you please file a ticket or call in to consulting.
