Hopper XE6 Workshop February 7th and 8th

Dear NERSC users,
You are invited to register for a two-day NERSC training class
focused on the new Hopper Cray XE6 system.
The two-day event on Feb. 7-8 will be held at the NERSC Oakland
Scientific Facility and broadcast as a webinar.
The training on Monday, Feb. 7 is targeted to new or beginning users.
The topics on Tuesday, Feb. 8 are appropriate for those who are
interested in optimization and tools.

The capability of explicitly requesting large memory nodes on Hopper II is now available.

Logins for all NERSC users have been enabled on the Hopper II system. The queues will be open and running through January 2nd.
All files DELETED from Hopper II $SCRATCH on Tuesday

We will need to reformat the Hopper II $SCRATCH file system on Tuesday December 14th. This means all your files in $SCRATCH will be deleted. Please make sure to back them up in HPSS or move them to our global scratch directory, $GSCRATCH.
