NERSC Outage Wed June 1
May 23, 2011 by Francesca Verdier (0 Comments)
On Wednesday, June 1, NERSC will perform some critical maintenance on our internal network. Unfortunately, this will require us to completely unmount the global file system (NGF) from all platforms. This means that for about an hour, there will be no access to /global/homes, /global/scratch, /project, and /global/common (/usr/common on most systems).
Therefore, most systems will be unavailable for a few hours Wednesday morning, June 1. Hopper will be unavailable for most of the day, for additional scheduled system maintenance.
This outage is still over a week away. Details for each system's planned downtime will be posted on the NERSC Message of the Day webpage over the next couple days.
