August 22, 2017 by Helen He
NERSC Data Day and the annual NERSC Users Group meeting, NUG 2017, will be held in conjunction this year September 19 to 21, 2017 at Wang Hall (Building 59), Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
The first day, Data Day, will cover data-centric topics including machine learning, workflows, data management, and visualizations, and feature tutorials and talks from scientists and demos from NERSC staff.
On Wednesday morning, we will have a data-themed hackathon, guided tutorials, and hands-on fun featuring a data competition (details will be published 2 weeks before the event). Stay for the afternoon to learn more about NERSC status, updates, and future plans.
Thursday's program features science and technology talks, the NERSC achievement awards, and a keynote on exascale computing by Exascale Computing Project leader Doug Kothe of ORNL.
Registration is free, but for planning purposes, the deadline for in-person registrations is Monday, August 28. More details for this meeting are available at https://www.nersc.gov/users/NUG/annual-meetings/nersc-data-day-and-nug2017/
