Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory is a multidisciplinary national laboratory located in Berkeley, California on a hillside directly above the campus of the University of California at Berkeley. Registration

All participants must register by March 29, 2017.  Fill out registration form.  There is no registration fee.   The LBNL cafeteria is located close to the 50 Auditorium and Wang Hall.  For restaurants in the Berkeley area, please see:  http://restguide.lbl.gov/

Site Access

All non-LBNL participants must register in advance to obtain a visitor bus pass or parking pass. We recommend carpooling, shuttle and taxi.  Check-in with Security,  picture ID and the visitor pass are required. LBNL Security requires the names, citizenship and country of birth of all visitors. Please print and bring with you the visitor pass issued to you by Site Access. If you have questions, contact Zaida McCunney by March 29, 2017.

Bay Area Rapid Transit Train (BART)

The Downtown Berkeley BART station is two short blocks from the LBNL shuttle line on the corner of Addison and Shuttuck.  The LBNL Blue Shuttle Bus will take you to the Blackberry Canyon entrance.  Let the driver know you are going to the 50 Auditorium. For April 5, Wang Hall is across the street from the main bus stop at Building 65. Walk across the street (Perlmutter Road) stay to your right up to the new Wang Hall.  »BART Web site

Parking

Parking at LBNL is limited due to a number of construction projects. We recommend car pooling, LBNL shuttle, or taxi. If you drive, a parking space may be reserved.  For those visitors who plan to drive to LBNL, we will reserve general parking.  Please arrive early.

Remote Participants

The conference will not be offered remotely, however we do plan to record some of the sessions for later availability. 

Shuttle Information

There is an LBNL shuttle bus from various locations around the City of Berkeley, including near the Downtown Berkeley BART station.  If you plan to take the LBNL shuttle, you are required to have an LBNL Visitor Bus Pass (requires advance notice) and picture ID to show the bus driver.  The BART shuttle bus stop is at the corner of Addision and Shattuck. The LBNL Blue Shuttle Bus will take you to the Blackberry Canyon entrance.  On April 4, let the driver know you are going to the 50 Auditorium.
