EMail on PDSF
Sending and Receiving Electronic Mail (email)
Users may send email on any node on pdsf. If a recipient address is just a user name then it will be expanded according to the information in NIM and delivered. A similar treatment will be given to a message addressed to a user name at a specific pdsf node. The node name will be stripped off the address and the message will be sent according to the address from the NIM data base.
PDSF nodes do not accept incoming mail from outside the cluster. If a recipient address is user_name@nersc.gov then again it will be expanded according to the information in NIM and delivered. If the address contains a name of a particular pdsf node you'll be notified about difficulties in delivery as if the node were down.
