Daily or Monthly MPP Usage Reports

How to get here:
Search and Reports Menu -> Daily or Monthly MPP

Select Use: Daily or Monthly MPP from the Search & Reports menu to find information on daily or monthly usage by users or repositories. Set your search criteria in the resulting Daily or Monthly Usage Reports query frame. When you click on the Submit Query button, the results will appear in the bottom frame.

Click on the More or Fewer buttons to increase/decrease the number of queries that you can combine in an "AND" or "OR" fashion. For detailed information on how to specify your search criteria in the query frame, see Using the Query Frame for Searches.

The selection criteria you can specify for producing a Daily or Monthly Usage Report are:

  1. Fiscal Year
  2. Login Name
  3. Job Date: type a date in the write-box using the format dd-MON-yy, e.g. 11-OCT-01 (or 11-oct-01).
  4. Host Name: select from the List? pop-up window or type directly into the write-box one of: seaborg, mcurie, killeen, bhaskara, or seymour.
  5. Repo Name
  6. Job Month: type the month (in its entirety) in the write-box, e.g. october, june. Note: you shouldn't sort on Job Month (because the sort mechanism would use the alphabetic name of the month rather than the order in which months occur in the year). Rather, sort on Job Date and Job Month will "fall in place naturally".
  7. Organization: select from the List? pop-up window.
  8. Allocation Type: select from the List? pop-up window or type directly into the write-box one of: doe base (for repositories allocated from the DOE Office of Science base program), scidac, strategic, startup, or overhead. (Note that some selections that appear in the List? pop-up window aren't currently implemented.)
  9. Resource Type: type MPP in the write-box.
  10. Office: select one of the DOE Offices from the List? pop-up window or type directly into the write-box one of ASCR, BER, BES, FES, or HENP.
  11. Program: select one of the DOE Programs from the List? pop-up window.
  12. Science Category
  13. Hours Used
  14. Hours Charged

There is also a check box for "Sums Only." Checking this box suppresses the information about individual repositories, and lists only the program, office and allocation type subtotals and totals.
