The Scientific Computing Applications Council (SCAC) is responsible for setting the policies associated with the utilization of computing, data storage, and other auxiliary services available to DOE Office of Science (SC) researchers and otherwise coordinating SC’s computational projects. The Council sets the distribution of NERSC and other available Office of Advanced Scientific Computing Research resources for scientific computing applications every year and reviews the operation of NERSC every two years.
