Jody,
I strongly suspect you are seeing the same problem with 2.6.30 that has
been seen with the RPM and APT packaging. See the following archived
email message and try the patch:
http://www.nersc.gov/hypermail/checkpoint/1268.html
After applying the patch you will need to run the "autogen.sh" script.
