Two policy changes on Franklin

    1) Process limits
    
    Effective on Wednesday, May 21, the virtual memory limits for processes 
    launched from Franklin login nodes and batch jobs will be set to 
    2,097,152 kbytes (2 GB soft limit). This can be increased to a maximum 
    of 4,194,304 kbytes (4 GB hard limit).
    
    To increase from bash or ksh shell:
    % ulimit -v 4194304
    
    To increase from csh or tcsh shell:
    % limit vmemoryuse 4194304
    
    Note: the CPU limit of 60 min has been enforced since April 22.
    
    2) Auto logout of idle sessions
    
    Effective on Wednesday, May 21, idle login sessions on Franklin will be 
    automatically logged out after 8 hours.
