    Greetings NERSC User,

Version 3.5.0 of PAPI is now available on Bassi, Jacquard, and DaVinci.
To access it, first use the "module" command:

% module load papi/3.5.0

and then compile/link your program with the $PAPI environment variable.
If no problems are reported, this version will become the default in
one week.  Use "module avail papi" to see other available versions.

On Franklin, PAPI is provided by Cray.  Version 3.5.0C is available
with "module load papi".  A newer version (3.5.99) is available with
"module load xt-papi".  With either version, you should compile your
program with $PAPI_INCLUDE_OPTS and link it with $PAPI_POST_LINK_OPTS.
