    Dear NERSC users,

I am sending this email on behalf of David Dean, current chair of the 
NERSC Users' Group (NUG).

The NUG executive board (NUGEX) currently has openings for users whose 
project is funded/sponsored by:

BER: 1 opening
Fusion: 2 openings
HEP: 2 openings
NP: 2 openings
at large: 2 openings

If you would like to represent user concerns to NERSC, and participate 
in the monthly NUG teleconferences, please consider running for NUGEX.  
You CAN make a difference.  Recent decisions based upon NUGEX input:

- nodes reserved on Franklin for interactive use extended from Mon-Fri 
to include the weekend
- additional Pathscale license for Franklin
- queue configuration changes
