The default version of ACML (the AMD Core Math Library) will be upgraded from its current default of 3.6 to version 4.0 on Wednesday, October 24, 2007. This version is already installed on Jacquard in the acml/4.0 module. ACML is a high performance, vendor supplied collection of mathematical routines comparable to the IBM ESSL library which includes, among many other mathematical routines, full implementations of BLAS and LAPACK. There are instructions on using this library at http://www.nersc.gov/nusers/resources/jacquard/programming.php. The vendor home page for the library is at http://developer.amd.com/acml.aspx. -- ===================================== Michael Stewart High Performance Computing Consultant NERSC User Services Group 510-486-6648 pmstewart_at_lbl_dot_gov =====================================
