Greetings NERSC Principal Investigators and Project Managers,
Starting today and through Tuesday, January 2, 2007, you should
review your user lists for Allocation Year 2007, which starts
January 9, 2007. You will be notified of AY 2007 awards within
the next few days once all the DOE managers have provided us with
their input. But you can start reviewing your user lists immediately.
Default statuses for AY 2007 have been set for all of your users:
users that did not return the new Computer Use Policy form that was
issued in February of this year (2006) have been set to "Delete next
FY"; all other users have been set to "Active next FY".
You should review these settings and change them if need be:
1. Log into NIM (nim.nersc.gov). If you have forgotten your NIM
password, please contact the Account Support Office at
1-800-66-NERSC menu option 2 or 1-510-486-8612.
2. For each of your continuing AY 2007 projects, enter a repository
name next to the Go button underneath "Quick Search" in the NIM
Main Menu. Your project information will be displayed in the
bottom frame.
3. Click on the "User Status by Repo" tab. Under your projects
name will be the Format options. Click on "Update". Review and
if necessary, change the settings in the "Status for next FY"
column. Click the Save All Rows button located at the bottom
of this frame to save your changes.
Please keep in mind that for security reasons only active users
should keep their accounts on the production, computing systems
(Seaborg, Bassi, Jacquard, Davinci, and PDSF).
