Greetings Seaborg user, Seaborg is back in service following today's emergency hardware maintenance, which took longer than expected. A number of jobs were lost as the the system resumed batch processing. Users who had jobs pending when the system went down this morning should check their results carefully, and resubmit any jobs that appeared to have exited immediately after starting. I would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused by this LoadLeveler malfunction. NERSC staff are investigating the cause of this unfortunate event in order to avoid a repeat during future maintenance periods. -- Best regards, David Turner User Services Group email: dpturner@lbl.gov NERSC Division phone: (510) 486-4027 Lawrence Berkeley Lab fax: (510) 486-4316
