Jacquard: mvapich upgrade cancelled

From: Mike Stewart (pmstewart_at_lbl.gov)

Despite extensive testing, the upgrade this morning of the default
version of mvapich is causing problems for several Jacquard users. For
this reason we have set the default version back to the earlier
version. If you have been having problems running MPI codes this
morning, logout and login again and everything should work as before.
We will include the problem codes in future tests of mvapich upgrades.

attached mail follows:

(Fixing the subject of this previously sent message).

A new version of the Jacquard mvapich MPI environment, 1.0.3, will be
made the default next Tuesday, May 30, 2006. This is a bugfix release
and does not have any performance improvements or new functionality.

This version is currently installed on Jacquard in the
mvapich/0.9.5-mlx1.0.3 module. To use it before it becomes the default
type

module swap mvapich mvapich/0.9.5-mlx1.0.3

Please report any problems to consult@nersc.gov.
