New Compiler Releases on Seaborg

Greetings NERSC SP User,

New versions of IBM's Fortran and C compilers are now available on Seaborg.
To try these new versions, use the "module" command:

   module load xlc
   module load xlf

After loading the above modules, you may use the regular compiler invocations
of xlf, mpxlf, xlc, etc. to run the new compilers.

If no problems are reported with the new compilers, they will be made the
default in one week (Thursday, November 17).
