HDF5 1.4.3 installed on Escher

Dear NERSC users,

HDF5 1.4.3 has been installed on escher.nersc.gov.
Both "serial" and "parallel" HDF5 versions are
available.  For information, see the HDF5 1.4.3
Release Notes:

http://hpcf.nersc.gov/software/libs/io/hdf5/release-notes-1.4.3.txt

To access the new version, for serial use: "module load hdf5/1.4.3"
and for parallel use: "module load hdf5_par/1.4.3".

Unless problems are found, this version will become the
default on April 9, 2002.  The current version, 1.4.0,
will be disabled on April 23, 2002 and deleted soon
thereafter.
