Michael Urashka has been at LBNL since 2003.
Computer Systems Engineer. Software development and Unix system administration. Webops. Also has an interest in tools development, automation, large scale infrastructure, science portals, embedded systems and sensor networks.

Enjoys writing Unix server-side, web and desktop applications in a variety of languages. Prior to his appointment at NERSC, Michael maintained and developed front-end GUI applications and back-end server processes for LBNL's Advanced Light Source facility as a Data Acquisition & Controls Engineer. He has B.S. degrees from University of Massachusetts - Amherst (Microbiology and in Cellular & Molecular Biology) and an M.S. in Systems Management from Golden Gate University with an emphasis in Software Engineering.
